South Hill Skatepark will provide an accessible facility for Islanders in St Helier and also has good sustainable transport links to the north and east of the island. Funding is being sought for this facility through the Government Plan 2022 – 2025.
The design of South Hill Skatepark must fit around the many constraints of the proposed site but will provide an all-round facility catering for many users. The skatepark will be part of a range of developments, including Fort Regent and the former Government offices site, that will reinvigorate and regenerate this area of St Helier and create a leisure corridor from Snow Hill to Havre des Pas.
The plans for South Hill Skatepark are being developed in coordination with other nearby developments and we are aiming for a planning decision to be presented to the public by mid 2022.
